Following a win in an open race on his debut on the all new BMW S1000RR, Kirk headed to the first serious business of 2011 at Mondello Park. In changeable conditions throughout the weekend Kirk qualified on the front row for the Superbike races in 3rd position behind Kingsbury Packaging rider Mark Pollock and reigning ISB champion Marshal Neill.
